LatAm List (Yahoo Finaças) – Federico Vega, CEO and founder of the truck-hailing platform Cargo X, talks about starting and running a business in an interview with Yahoo! Finance.
Argentinian Federico Vega could have invested in an easier sector when he chose to take the risk and launch Cargo X, a platform that connects clients to drivers via an app, in the Brazilian Cargo market.
For Vega, optimism and courage are necessary to launch into such a complicated sector of the market.
“If you are thinking about fixing a problem, then think about fixing a big problem, because if you can fix it then you will have a big deal,” says the entrepreneur. “The time it will take will be the same”.
The CEO of CargoX says that Argentina, his native country, is a small and complex market in comparison to Brazil, where he decided to launch his business.
“Brazil is one of the largest markets in the world and it is at the center of Latin America. Regardless of what you choose to launch in Brazil, it is a strategically located market from which you can expand to other countries in the region,” says Vega. “Brazil is one of the best places in the world to launch a business from,” he concludes.
Cargo X continues to be one of the biggest players in the transport industry, recently announcing an investment of $23M (R$100M) in credit to carriers, focusing on increasing the working capital of the area.
