GetCourse, an online corporate training platform, raised a $50M funding round to launch into Brazil. The round was led by Goldman Sachs with contributions from Winter Capital Partners and Baring Vostok Capital Partners.
GetCourse is a sales and training platform that offers seminars, courses, and face-to-face online courses. The platform hosts more than 20,000 educators from online schools to bloggers.
The platform will use the new funding for international expansion, launching in the Brazilian market first.
“Our team did a large-scale analysis of the global edtech market and saw a huge potential in Brazil. […] There is a huge interest from Brazilians in online training, and we want to give them a convenient and tech-driven solution for entrepreneurship in this area,” said Sergey Mikhaylov, CEO of the company.
GetCourse more than doubled its annual turnover to $20.3M in 2020 with the increasing demand for online learning. The platform is expected to reach a $1B valuation in 2021 as it continues global expansion in Spain and Latin America.
