Latin-led NUE.life raises $3M for mental health

LatamListNUE Life Health Inc. (NUE.life), a telehealth platform, announced a $3M seed round with participation from some of the world’s leading health tech investors. The round included Martin Varsavsky (Prelude Fertility), Jack Abraham (Atomic Ventures), Shervin Pishevar (Sherpa Ventures), Jon Oringer (Shutterstock), James Bailey (MAPS), Christina Getty, and the Khubani family (OnTel Products).

NUE.life is addressing the mental health crisis by combining psychedelic and music therapies with traditional approaches. The company offers at-home testing, integrative psychiatry and psychedelic-assisted therapies that are easily accessible via smartphone or computer.

The company was founded by Juan Pablo Cappello and Demian Bellumio, two Miami tech entrepreneurs originally from Chile and Argentina. NUE.life now operates out of Miami and is active in California, Texas, and Florida, and has plans for expansion in the US and Latin America.
