Mexican property startup Homie raises $7M from Equity International

LatAm List Homie, the Mexican property rental platform, raised a $7M round led by Equity International, a private VC fund run by  Sam Zell.

The platform provides thousands of Mexicans with available property rentals on a daily basis by connecting them with apartments and landlords in less than 24 hours. Through the online platform, renters are able to search for properties, organize a viewing, and complete an online application for their apartment or home.

The round was also supported by Angel Ventures Pacific Alliance II and various private investors. This investment will enable Homie to improve their digital platform, increase the number of properties available, and grow the executive team.

ā€œThis funding will allow us to consolidate our position as the head of the property rental market in Mexico,ā€ confirmed Jordi Greenham Asenio, CEO and co-founder of Homie.

Homie is currently active in more than 100 cities in Mexico and aims to grow the platform to 15 million properties in 2020.
