Neta raises $4.9M led by Kaszek for e-commerce network

Neta, a social e-commerce platform, raised a $4.9M seed funding round led by Kaszek Ventures. The round included participation from Founders Fund, Picus Capital, Next Play Ventures, and others.

Neta is an online-to-offline e-commerce platform that uses local stores and residents to serve high demand and delivery more effectively. Customers place their orders online via the Neta app and then pick up their groceries from their local shop.

The Neta app offers a catalog of items, ranging from fresh produce to cupboard staples, which are connected to local retailers’ personal catalog.

“We are excited to be working with the team at Neta to help families throughout Latin America gain digital access to lower cost goods and services,” said Jeff Weiner, founder of Next Play Ventures.

Neta launched in June 2021 and already has 10,000 clients. The company’s revenue is growing 20% week-on-week and currently has 6 million stores in Mexico.

The company now plans to continue expansion in Mexico City and launch into new cities in the country.
