Skydropx, a Mexican logistics startup, raised a $20M Series A funding round co-led by Base10 Partners, Cometa, and 645 Ventures.
Skydropx is a logistics management company that enables end-to-end automated delivery for businesses. With the Skydropx software, businesses can monitor the entire delivery journey and offer customers over 250 shipping options, tracking notifications, accurately estimated delivery times, and return management.
The company started as a food delivery platform, but pivoted into delivery and logistics in 2015.
“We saw businesses struggling to understand the hundreds of carriers – which one is the best option? Which one is the most cost-efficient? Which has the best speed? We noticed that no one was tracking this option online,” said Tavo Zambrano, co-founder of the company.
Skydropx cuts delivery costs for companies by up to 70%. The startup currently serves over 50,000 customers and makes over 1.5 million deliveries a month.
The new funding will allow the platform to expand into other countries where e-commerce is rapidly growing, such as Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Peru. Skydropx is also considering other verticals in fulfillment and plans to launch its own delivery branches in Mexico.
