Brazilian edtech Teachy raised a $6.7M series A round led by Goodwater and Reach Capital. Endeavor, NXTP, and Roble Ventures also participated in the round. As part of the deal, Goodwater’s Partner Coddy Johnson joined Teachy’s board.
Teachy is a platform that helps teachers quickly create and customize lesson plans, exercises, and other teaching materials using AI tools.
“Teachers spend an average of 20 hours per week outside the classroom on tasks like lesson planning and grading. With the platform, they can reduce this time to 3 to 4 hours per week,” said Pedro Siciliano, Teachy’s co-founder and CEO.
Teachy will use the funds to hire new tech professionals, acquire new customers, and expand in Latin America and the US.
Founded in 2022, Teachy helped over 1M teachers across 100K schools in over 170 countries.
