Ubits edtech raises $25M Series B for launch into Spain

Ubits, a corporate training platform, announced a $25M Series B funding round as it prepares to launch into Spain. The round was led by Riverwood Capital with contributions from Roble Ventures, Endeavor Catalyst, and Owl Ventures.

Ubits is a platform that offers a range of online classes to help clients improve their professional skills. The platform serves over 300 companies, helping to train their staff and improve employee’s skills.

The next step for the company is to launch into Spain.

“Spain is a key market for us. We want to launch there and triple sales, as well as solidifying our presence in Central America where we operate: Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Chile,” said Julián Meló, co-founder and CEO.

Currently Ubits is a B2B platform working with major companies across Latin America. However, Meló confirmed that the startup was also considering a B2C model to help scale the company and attract more customers.
