Wallet Factory, a global fintech company, launched a new e-wallet and banking app in Belize through Belize Bank Limited.
Around half the population of Belize are underbanked despite growing fintech services in the region. The new E-kyash app aims to target these communities and provide more secure financial services with digital technology.
“With the implementation of E-kyash, the Belize Bank will be providing the perfect financial solution to meet the needs of the underserved Belizean population,” said Lyndon Guiseppi, Executive Chairman of Belize Bank Limited.
The E-kyash wallet has two versions, Customer and Business. Each is designed to cater to the specific needs of individual clients and businesses such as merchants and retail operators.
“Behind every single feature we implemented in our app, there is solid understanding and appreciation of local customer demand for robust digital financial services,” said Mikhail Miroshnichenko, co-founder and CEO of Wallet Factory.
The app offers instant bank transfers and payments, a comprehensive dashboard for finance management, pay-in and pay-out services, and more. The app has already enrolled 34,000 users in Belize and is functional in over 750 stores for cash services country-wide.
