Colombian fintech Bold raised a $40M funding round led by General Atlantic. InQlab, CĂłndor Inverlink, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) also participated in the round. Bold previously raised a $50M Series C round in 2024, also led by General Atlantic.
Bold provides digital payment solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). The payments company offers products including POS terminals, QR software, and online business bank accounts for its customers.
Bold will use the funding to accelerate expansion into other Latin American countries, starting with Peru, where the company recently acquired VendeMĂĄs, the payment facilitator owned by Niubiz.
âOver the next year, we are focusing on improving the Peruvian market,â commented JosĂŠ VĂŠlez, co-founder and CEO of Bold. âWe are also looking at other countries with opportunities for Bold, such as Ecuador, Chile, and Central America.â
