Mortgage credit platform Kredi raises $3.1M

LatamListKredi, a Mexican fintech, raised a $3.1M seed funding round led by Amplo. Other investors included Soma Capital, Harvard Management Co., and previous investors Liquid2 and Emles Venture Partners.

Kredi is a marketplace for Mexicans looking for credit loans to assist with home buying and mortgages. The platform acts as the intermediary between clients and banks, helping to secure the loan that best suits their needs and financial situation.

ā€œEveryone should have access to a home, and if they need a mortgage, we want to help them do it,ā€ said Javier Adalpe, co-founder and CEO of Kredi.

Kredi also recently took part in the Winter 2021 Y Combinator program and has originated more than $8M in mortgage loans so far this year. The new funding will enable Kredi to grow its engineering and sales teams, as well as underwriting its own personal loans.
